Systemic strategist. More than ever, businesses and leaders have the opportunity to stand out, spread messages, and make change through storytelling. Good stories surprise us. They have compelling characters. They make us think, make us feel. They stick in our minds and help us remember ideas and concepts in a way that numbers and text on a slide with a bar graph are limited. Stories make presentations better. Stories make ideas stick. Savvy leaders tell stories to inspire and motivate us. With a good story, comes conversation, which is an unlimited resource.
Ecosystem designer.  Always being naturally curious and constantly looking to improve upon systems has led me to focus on providing creative vision with strategic direction. Looking at patterns, design, and how things are connected is the art of understanding symbiotic relationships. From designing an ecological-based farm to creating communications strategies for ocean initiatives, work is derived from the models, systems, and elements that connect. These techniques help solve complex human and environmental challenges.
Social impact influencer. Social media has made us comfortable with having conversations and interactions with people globally. Effective communication is defined by how well you build relationships with your team and to whom you are speaking. The more you “get to know” and honestly care about the connection - the better the results will be. I’ve spent 15 years working as a consultant on culturally diverse strategy, relationship management, and thought-provoking communication.
Data scientist. Communication tools with sound data and interactive research help us work in more progressive ways to brainstorm solutions. As a conceptual thinker, enjoyment comes from brainstorming ideas and guiding teams on how these ideas come to life.  Like cooking, how you measure the results of your communication relies on an equation and a reaction. How well you combine the right ingredients with the right flavor and at what temperature you set defines the recipe. Being able to mix it up means being responsive to change and adapting to new patterns, conditions, or paradigms. As the world changes faster than ever, it is important to communicate with eye-stopping visuals and thought-provoking words.
